BASE REALITY
Safety Guidelines
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Base Reality missions happen in the real world, at real places. Every mission is optional, so skip any that does not feel safe. This list does not cover everything. Use your own judgement.
Missions Are Optional
You never have to do a mission. Skipping a place or a day is always fine.
No streak, stat, crew or board position is worth putting yourself or anyone else at risk.
Do Not Play While Driving or Distracted
Do not read missions, look at the map or take a proof while driving or riding.
Watch where you are going near roads, railway lines and water, and cross only where it is safe and legal.
Respect Property and the Law
Stay in public areas. Do not climb fences, go past barriers or walk on railway tracks to reach a place.
You only need to be close. A proof counts within about 100 metres of a place, or anywhere inside a park or campus.
Parks, viewpoints and beaches stop taking proofs at dusk and open again at first light. Other places stay open at night, so take more care after dark.
If a place cannot be reached safely and legally, skip it and tell us at contact@modelabs.studio.
People and Consent
Do not photograph or film people without their consent, especially somewhere private.
If someone does not want to be in your photo, stop straight away.
Keep faces, children and number plates out of your photos unless they need to be there.
If You Feel Uncomfortable, Stop
Leave, drop the mission and trust your instincts.
Do not engage with anyone aggressive or threatening.
Do not go to a place to meet a player you do not know.
Report Unsafe or Abusive Content
Open the menu on a proof and choose Report, or email contact@modelabs.studio. To tell us about an unsafe place, a player or a crew, email us.
Our Community Guidelines, linked at the foot of this page, say what we remove.
Emergencies
If you or anyone else is in danger right now, call your local emergency number first (000 in Australia, 112, 911 or 999 elsewhere).
Once you are safe, you can tell us at contact@modelabs.studio if anything related shows up in the app.
Base Reality is not an emergency service and cannot send help.
Age
Base Reality is for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, do missions only with an adult's knowledge and in ways that suit your age.
