Be Safe

Your safety comes first. Never do a mission while driving, and never put yourself or anyone else in danger for a photo.

Do not trespass, break traffic laws, or go into restricted or private property to reach a place.

Read our Safety Guidelines, linked at the foot of this page, before you head out.

Be Real

Take your own photo, at the place, in the app. The app checks your location when you send a proof, so you have to actually be there.

Do not use someone else's photo, an old photo or an AI fake, and do not fake your location.

Do not stage a photo to pass a mission you did not do.

Proofs may be checked by an AI judge that runs on our own server. If it turns a proof down, the place does not light up and you can take the photo again.

Trying to trick the judge is cheating.

Content You Must Not Post

Illegal content, or content that promotes illegal activity.

Sexual or nude content, or anything that sexualises children.

Hateful, harassing, bullying or threatening content.

Graphic violence, gore, or content that promotes self-harm or suicide.

Photos of people taken without their consent, doxxing, or anyone's private information shared without permission.

Spam, scams, or pretending to be someone else.

Crew names and tags follow the same rules.

Respect Other Players

Do not use Base Reality to harass, threaten or target anyone.

Do not use places, crews or boards to track down or turn up on another player.

Do not photograph people without their consent. If someone asks you to stop, stop.

Reporting Content

Open the menu on a proof and choose Report to send it to us for review.

To report anything else, such as a player, a crew name or a profile, email contact@modelabs.studio with the username and what happened.

Reports are confidential. We review them and act when we need to.

Blocking Players

You can block a player from the menu on their proof, and manage blocked accounts under Settings → Privacy → Blocked users.

Blocking hides their proofs from you and tells us, so we can look at it. It does not tell the blocked player.

Blocking does not remove them from crew lists or boards.

Moderation

We may remove content, give warnings, suspend accounts or ban them for good when these rules are broken.

Serious cases, such as threats, exploiting children or real danger to someone, can get an immediate ban, and we may report them to the police.

We may act without warning when we need to protect players or the app.
