Delete Your Account

Base Reality was called Verdict until October 2026, and this page covers accounts made under either name. You can delete your account from inside the app: Settings → Account Management → Delete account. It happens straight away. If you no longer have the app, ask for deletion on this page or by email, and we usually handle it within 30 days. We keep some records for legal, safety, fraud and abuse reasons, and some map data is not removed automatically yet. Both are listed below.
How to Request Deletion
In the app: Settings → Account Management → Delete account closes your account. Delete specific data removes the data you choose and keeps your account.
On the web: use the form above, or email contact@modelabs.studio with the email address or phone number you sign in with.
We check web and email requests to confirm the account is yours before we act. Requests made in the app while signed in are tied to that account.
Deleting your account in the app happens straight away. Web and email requests are usually handled within 30 days.
Delete Specific Data Without Deleting Your Account
You can ask us to delete your profile photo, your proofs and their photos, your support and feedback messages, or other account data, and keep your account.
In the app: Settings → Account Management → Delete specific data.
On the web: choose "Delete specific data only (keep my account)" in the form above.

What We Delete
Deleting your account removes:
Your sign-in account (the email or phone number you sign in with).
Your profile: display name, username and profile photo.
Your daily mission proofs and their photos, and the comments, stamps, reactions and votes you left.
Your streak, mission history, stats and the places you lit.
Your friends, friend requests and blocked list, and the reports, bug reports, feedback and mission ideas you sent us.
Your push notification token.
Your Scan game progress.
This cannot be undone.
What Account Deletion Does Not Remove Yet
Deleting your account does not yet remove the data below. We are fixing that. Until we do, email contact@modelabs.studio and ask us to remove it.
Your place proofs: the photo, the thumbnail, and the location and time each one was taken. Other players could not see these.
Your crew membership, your name on weekly boards, and our record of the areas you played in each week.
The record of whether your account had early access to new features.
Usage analytics linked to your account ID.
What We May Keep
After deletion we may keep a small amount of information:
Records we need for safety and abuse, such as enforcing bans. Reports other people made about you are kept, with your name removed and your account ID replaced.
A record that you asked for deletion. Your email or phone number is kept only in a scrambled form with a partly hidden hint.
Anything we must keep by law, or for disputes and lawful requests.
Totals and anonymised data that no longer identify you.
Records of notifications we sent you, which delete themselves after about 90 days.
Copies in backups, which can take up to 90 days to clear.
Proofs Other People Could See
Daily mission proofs that friends or other players could see are removed when you delete your account.
Your username may stay in other people's activity for a short time, or be replaced with a generic label.
Processing Time
In the app: straight away.
By web or email: usually within 30 days, once we confirm the account is yours.
Backups: up to 90 days in some systems.
